FAQ

Q: What is the weather like in April?

A: The average high is in the High 70′s with a low in the high 40′s. Mornings can be cool but it warms up fast. However, it is not uncommon for a day to reach close to 90 or even stay in the 50′s so be sure to watch the weather.

Q: Will there be a photographer on the course?

A: Yes, we will be providing a photography service. More information will be available as we get closer to the event.

Q: I am interested in the entire series, where can I get more information on the Intermountain Cup?

A: You can get more information directly from the Intermountain Cup website. Be sure to check out all of the races in the series!

Q: I’ve never raced before. Can anyone race?

A: Yes! Mountain bike racing is an extremely social sport and very accepting of beginners. Experience and expensive bikes are not required. Just a mountain bike with knobby tires and a helmet and your in business.

Q: Is the course relatively flat?

A: NO! This is an area of extremes, plan on climbing. Although you may not climb more than 750 feet per lap the climbs are steep.

Area Info

The Southern Utah climate features bright sunshine, small annual precipitation, clean air and a wide daily temperature range. The St. George area is known for it’s many golf courses and mild winters however it is quickly becoming a hot spot for its diverse selection of outdoor activities. Cycling has taken hold in this once sleepy retirement community and has now become a vital form of tourism as can be seen by the many road races, centuries, gran fondos, mountain bike races, and triathlons. Outside of cycling there is also hiking, climbing, golfing, and swimming. Top off your vacation with a spa treatment at one of the many spas or a quick drive to nearby Las Vegas. This is a great event to bring the whole family!

Cancellation Policy

After your registration has been processed for any SpinGeeks event, NO REFUNDS will be available on your entry fee. We are sorry but that includes rider injuries, business or personal conflicts, or travel delays. All of our hard costs occur before the event and will be paid for by SpinGeeks regardless if you show up or not and many are incurred months before the event.

• Transferring registrations to other riders is not allowed.
• Additional purchased items will be mailed to you if you cancel ahead of the event day to all riders who live in the lower 48.

SpinGeeks events will not be cancelled due to weather unless the event director feels that riders safety is in jeopardy. If an event is cancelled due to extreme weather, riders will be given a 25% off coupon for any future SpinGeeks event within 12 months. Extreme weather is rare in Southern Utah and does not include rain, wind, cold, or heat. We’re thinking more in the line of ice storms or volcanoes erupting.

Any rider that registers for an event that has been cancelled by SpinGeeks ahead of the event date will receive a 100% refund.
